November Reading Wrap Up | 2021
If your read the last reading wrap up, then you might not be surprised at me only reading two books in November. The holidays are a busy time, so I’m not as focused on reading as the rest of the year. But I did enjoy the two books I finished! I finished a duology and a stand alone. Let’s get into it.
NAMESAKE is the second and final book in the Fable duology, so I didn’t put the summary for it (because of spoilers). I liked it a lot, and honestly, Fable and Namesake should have just been one long book. I know publishing companies like to split stories up as much as they can for obvious money reasons, but this really didn’t need to be a two-parter. But that’s just me.
This is definitely a “light” and quick read for anyone that wants an adventure, but doesn’t want the commitment of a long series. It’s also one of those books where almost all of the character development is just with the main character, Fable. The side characters get *some*, but enough to really qualify in my opinion. That doesn’t make the story bad, it’s just written a certain way. More focus on the main character instead of who is surrounding them.

I waited a long time to read this book, and it was so worth the wait! I loved this book so much, and recommend it to anyone who likes fairytale with a twist with some girl love. This book comes off as a weird fairytale dystopian, and has such a glorious ending. I was completely invested the whole time, and couldn’t stop absorbing this story. The main character has a fire and tongue I completely love and relate. I loved the side characters, I love the mission the main character is on – it was just wonderful all around. I highly recommend this book to anyone! It is a standalone.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see what I read in the month of November! I’ll see you next month to talk about the books I read in December, and all of my end of the year posts I love doing.
