December Reading Wrap Up | 2020
A low-key forgot to do this, but it’s fine!
I read a total of three books in the month of December! This doesn’t surprise me, since it was the holiday season. I spent more time watching Christmas movies with my husband, and doing other things that is not focused on reading. Two were re-reads, and one was a graphic novel.
New Read
This was of course a quick and enjoyable read. This edition happens eight months after Secret Wars. Kamala was of course a delight, and it was fun to see her in a different hero situation than she was before. Gave her character growing situations. Sadly, this was the last Ms. Marvel volume on the Libby app (to me), and I’m probably not going to be continuing the series until the over volumes become available. I highly recommend you pick these comics up!
Re-Reads
A Court of Thorns and Roses (book 1) summary:
When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal but Tamlin–one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.
As Feyre dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she’s been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow over the faerie lands is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin–and his world–forever.
Thoughts:
I don’t have any new thoughts for these books. It was my fourth time reading them! I read them in preparation for A Court of Silver Flames which is coming out next month! I’m super excited for it! Nothing makes more excited than a new Sarah J Maas book, and lucky me I get two new books by her this year.
If you like steamy fae romance with a dash of action, this series is for you.
Thank you for reading! Here’s hoping I read more books in January to talk about! I hope you all have a satisfying reading year in 2021. I will see you again for my January wrap up!
