Bookish Wonders

February Reading Wrap Up | 2022

I only read two books in February, because I forgot that audiobooks exist, and life has just been tiring. But I am happy with what I’ve read so far this year. Hopefully March will be more productive. I already said this year was going to be crazy busy with a lot of change, but eh. Here we go!

Court (Crave #4) by Tracy Wolff

This is the fourth book in Wolff’s CRAVE series, so that is why I am not going post the synopsis. Just know this is a paranormal urban fantasy that I’ve been following since the first book dropped. It has vampires, dragons, witches, and more. This series starts out at a boarding school in Alaska, and our main character Grace gets transferred to the school right after the death of both of her parents.
This series is fun, action packed, has high stakes, and a series I recommend to everyone that doesn’t want to take things too seriously.

This is the first book in a middle grade trilogy written by Victoria Schwab who also goes by V.E. Schwab. This was the second of her work that I have read, and I fully intend to read ALL of her work (hoping to get a lot of that work read this year if I can). As I am writing this, I have just the last book to read (I just finished reading the second book TUNNEL OF BONES – but more on that next wrap up) so that means that I am really enjoying these books. I read this as an audiobook using the Libby app. The app is free, and wonderful, and all you need is a library card to use it.
This book was fun, spooky, mostly light with moments of darkness. This book also takes place in Scotland which was super fun and exciting for me, as it’s my dream to visit Scotland one day. I forgot how much I loved reading books with ghosts in them. The main character is 12 years old, and is written quite well.

Thank you for taking the time read my reading wrap up for February! Hopefully I’ll have more books to talk to you about next time, but we’ll see.
