WHY I AXED “FADING IN FROM BLACK”

Hello! Welcome to my writing series! With this series I will be talking about anything and everything when it comes to my writing projects. Today I will be talking about why I decided to NOT do my weekly chapter drop of FADING IN FROM BLACK. Most of you won’t know what I’m talking about, so let me back up a second.

For months I was hyping up this story I was working on FADING IN FROM BLACK. It was about a young woman named Mia who returns to her hometown to fight the monsters that plague the town. The twist is that she is partially responsible for the curse that caused the townsfolk to turn into monsters in the first place. She has to face her past in order to move forward and fully embrace her future.

Now, I’m not axing the story idea, that is staying. I just don’t think my original delivery of the story was in my best interest. I will continue to work on the story on the side, and keep the idea alive in my head. I just don’t know what I want to do with it. I might develop it more in the background and just save it for NaNoWriMo next year. I’m honestly not too sure, but what I do know that I am invested in Mia and her story. I fully intend to tell it somehow, Mia and the other characters need their stories told.

Next week I will be talking to you about my remaining writing projects I intend to finish/start before this year is over. One is for self publishing, and the other is NaNoWriMo!
